Limited to 100k miles on Citi AA while churning?

Question
Does anyone know if you are activily chuning AA Citi, is Citi capping the miles to 100k if you are not gold (my wife)? Or is the 100k on a per card restriction?

From my experience (unless it has changed) it's a per card restriction. So for those who spend more than $100,000 on a year on their AA MC all they have to do is get an additiional card to continue to earn miles.

Answer
I wasn't going to spend that much, but with churning multiple cards I can easily hit 100k with multiple cards.

Answer
Gosh, don't kill the golden goose by talking about it all the time. Chase killed churning--evidently because of, at least in part, info put forth on FT. Let's see if we can avoid this happening to other programs. @:-)

Answer
You can make 120k per yr from churning...1 app every 60 days....I did it last yr...

http://www.citicards.com/cards/wv/cardDetail.do?screenID=918 is the best one I know of. 20,000 miles after $ 250 spend and no annual fee in the first year

Answer
Why do you think it went from get miles for approval to miles for $250.00 in spend? Because you guys talked too much and they do read!

If you go to the AA.com site they now require $750 purchase within 4 months.
The link provided here still works as a $250 purchase.

At the very least the OP could remove "churning" from the thread title. That is not flyertalk lingo by the way. I've seen it in marketing studies.

The problem is that FT is not the only source of such info. Check out other online forums such as FatWallet.com which are full of such churning stories. FW is a lot bigger than FT...
