Question
Hey all,
Thanks to the way citi reports to credit bureaus on the credit limit on their world mastercard product; I'm considering the possibility of whether I should transfer the credit line from my world mastercard to another citi credit card that does not have unlimited spending "feature." I'm not sure if this is even possible. Has anybody done it before to increase their credit score?
Answer
Just call them up. Not an issue whatsoever. As for credit scores, unless you only have a small number of cards, it probably doesn't make that big of a difference.
Answer
just remember that you cannot transfer "business" to "personal"....
but you used to be able to do it vice versa -- not sure if you can now..

Tried to move "personal" to "business" about 3 months ago and they said no.

Well not actually! I lost god 45 points because 6 of my cards were showing more than 15% utilization, as per Citi Indentity monitor; thanks to the world / Sig cards. I called up chase to report actual lines so lets see.

About two weeks ago, I got a call from Citi about a new biz card I had applied for. The rep suggested that I close a personal AA card I didn't use much and transfer the around 10K limit to the new biz card. That's what happened. Just started using the new biz card. $750 spend, 20K miles. ^
By the way, just after my personal account was closed, I got 25K bonus miles posted. I suspect that what happened was that I originally applied for the personal account under the 25K anniversary promotion last year, but never got the bonus miles. Now, when closing the account, here comes the bonus. Kinda weird, but, I am happy.

That's not the issue under discussion here at all. The OP is simply talking about reallocating so that overall credit limits appear higher (not limits on individual lines). As I indicated, that particular action will likely have little effect on his/her credit score.
Answer
I tried to do it a couple of weeks ago (from Citi Chairman to Premier Pass Elite), the CSR checked and then said no. I think they knew what I really wanted to do (take major advantage of the 0%/12 months offer on the PPE).
I called again 10 minutes later and it got done within a minute.
Answer
I transferred credit from my Citi Dividend to my PPE card last year. It was very simple and took less than 10 minutes.
Answer
I wish Juniper/Barclays were this easy. They would not let me do any reallocation on my two accounts, and generally had no I idea what I was asking as if they had never heard of this before.
Don't get started on thier rebate programs. I got 30 $20 gulf gas only gift cards recently because of my spend -- can't they send 6 $100 cards instead. And I have to spend time activating eash and every one to use them.
Sorry off-topic. Never had issues with Citi on this subject.

Sounds like a real PITA.
