Question
Hi,
My daughter is 8 years old and got a UA Chase credit card invitation with 21,000 bonus miles in a regular mail today. What happens if I apply for a credit card for her filling in the invitation number and so on? Will she be accepted?
Thank you.
Answer
Sign her up. Worse comes to worse you could get on 60 minutes if they approve her. :)
Answer
I remember I was 14 when I received my first credit card solicitation form Chemical Bank (now Chase, still have this card) with a credit line of $10,000.00 I applied. They asked for a houshold income, so I put my parents income and received the card.
Answer
Following the positive suggestions, I tried to sign my 8 year old daughter up for a Chase UA card, but the sendmethecard.com website rejected her application checking her age, saying:
"You must be 18 or older to be considered for this offer. Please re-enter."
Answer
Can you mail it in?
Answer
Yes, I could mail it in. But too much hassle to do so given the approval uncertainty compared to 30 seconds on-line application.

A guy made it on CNN Headline News a few years back because he sent in a credit card application for his dog with a paw print for a signature and it was approved.

I guess the dog was at least 18 years old?

Doubt it. Also doubt the dog was an American citizen. Think it was from Labrador. Or Irish. Or German. ;) Occupation? Shepherd. :D

Is that in dog years or people years? :p

Was his name Santos L. Halper?
Answer
Was his name Santos L. Halper?
Nope, it was Clifford J. Dog. And here's the true story/article about the dog who was issued a credit card:

P.S. That Simpson's episode was inspired by the story of Clifford J. Dog, and P.P.S., I love Santa's Little Helper!!! He's the cutest little cartoon dog this side of Tom Terrific's Manfred The Wonderdog! And Hawaiian Airlines has The Simpsons on their IFE!!!! Note to HA: Please get some new episodes!
Answer
I tell my son's to fill out every app that comes in if they want to. They have always came back saying that you must be of legal age in your state for this offer and kindly ask them to apply again when they are of age. So no you will not get approved.
