I have a question about citi pp elite card. I am buying an international air ticket for my friend. The travle originates in the US. I know i will get the thank you points for the dollars spent on the ticket.
But will I get the flight points for the miles traveled? Are the flight points restricted to domestic travel only?

You will earn Flight points. The USA origin restriction pertains to Fixed Flight option redemptions, not to earnings.
