Many times, especially with Chase business card, they open a new UAL miles account for you and don't bother to tell you. You may not have any realistic way to find this out until your new UAL Mileage Plus account welcome package comes in the mail. Then call UAL and have the account merged with your older account.

Like the previous poster said they assigned me a new UA #. I called to have it changed to my old #. My 1st statement is not out/miles not posted yet.
I use a trick to get the 1st miles posted early: as soon as I get a new card, I call them to change the statement "closing date" to a week or 10 days from the date I call (else, it's a month away). The trick works most of the time.
Once, it did not post at 1st statement's date b/c I did not give enough time for the computer to get it in, so I ended up waiting till 2nd posting!

I had not read the Chase UA-Business visa card promotion terms; you have to spend $250 before you get the 25K bonus miles.
I got my first statement when I realized it. Will use it more and hopefully I will get the bonus in my 2nd statement.

When you have the FF account 'merged' by UA MP, does it take care of things on Chases end too? Meaning, if you have them merged, does Chase then start posting miles(if you continued ot use the card) to the old FF #? Or does UA MP just set up a 'forward' of sorts?

Yup. Once you have UAL merge the two accounts, that takes care of it on Chase's end too.

once the statment closed the miles are transferred to Onepass, advantage and so on then within 6 days they post to you acct.
Something that I have certainlyt have experienced, have a new number generated for me. :D
That could be the issue with you miles not posting
