Question
We live in Alaska and are looking to purchase a second credit card for travel benefits. What would be the best deal? Our points would go towards airfare and car rentals.
thanks!

Answer
Welcome to Flyertalk. Perhaps you would care to mention which credit card you have already, the airline(s) that you typically fly, the hotel chains you like, etc.
Answer
Just food for thought:
There are several good offers for airline credit cards, Chase-US, Citi-AA, BofA-US all offer 20-25k miles for signing up.
For hotel cards the Chase-Marriott card is a good one since it will give you silver status, 1 free night certificate good for a catagory 4 (valid for 6 months) and 15k bonus points.
Answer
Take a good look (about an hour) at my Credit Card pages on my website below. Take particularly good looks at the free bonus mega miles from
Starwood (on the Free Cards Page - 10,000 free points, plus another 10,000 for the business card)
United (25,000 miles free, on the Annual Fee Cards page, though its free for a year, plus a business card for another 25,000)
American (two cards for 35,000 miles total, on the Annual Fee Cards page, though its free for a year, plus a business card for another 20,000)
