Does anyone know why there is no AMEX Elite card or if there are any plans to introduce one? I have the Amex PP that I got to earn 2 TY pts per $1 at Costco, but obviously I only get 1 flight pt per 3 miles flown and don't get the other perks.

Good question! I find it interesting that AmEx touts itself as the upscale credit card, but then when the partner with Citi on credit cards, they put their logo on a bunch of the low-end cards, like the non-elite PP. Whatev...
