This offer actually appears through MSN.com. There are ads for various Citi offers. Keep refreshing until you see this one."

I'm so mad! I wonder if I called them up they would waive my annual fee-I just opened it last month.
Answer
If I get this card can I have the points added to my existing TY account and "link" this card to my existing TY account?

Yes. I think Citi automatically opens up a new Thank You account, but you can then combine them (I've had to call in the past, but I think there's an online form to do it now). You're theoretically able to link a new sponsor account into your existing Thank You account, but it appears that you have to catch it after the CC account is opened, but before Citi automatically opens the Thank You account (this amount of time is on the order of a day or so).

Wow, this doesn't appear to be a waiver for just the first year. When you click "Apply" and look at the T&C it shows no annual fee at all.

yep, this is (potentially) huge! No reason to apply for the "regular" card if you've seen this offer!

True, but We have the right to change the rates, fees, and terms at any time, for any reason, in accordance with the cardmember agreement and applicable law. Well, they can do this, but if they do it too quickly, you can say you were deceived. You should, at the very least, get 1 year out of it, if not two.

Thank You Very Much!!!!
Answer
True. you could get a year or two out of this, ofcourse always advisable to print out the page with T&C and keep it. And even if they start charging annual fees, you could always go back to regular PP.
Answer
Looks like they ended this deal - it's no longer showing the fee waived page.
Answer
I got mine today, and it does indeed read: "Annual Fee: NONE." So I guess I'll keep this one.

Mine also arrived today showing "Annual Fee: NONE"
Hard to beat! Thanks all for the great info on this site.^
Answer
That is great that is coming fee free. I was worried about that. I am still waiting-hopefully mine will come today.
Answer
Confirmed here too: "ANNUAL FEE: NONE"
Charged first purchase same day as receipt (Monday). Now we will see how long it takes for the 15k TYPs to post.
I plan to use this in a three-card rotation:
Diamond Rewards -- 5 TY pts grocery, gas, drug stores
Professional -- 3 TY pts restaurants (I spend a LOT of money in bars, and they show up as restaurants)
PPE -- 2 Points for all other purchases. Nota Bene: The two points derives from the 1 point for purchases matched with 1 point for flights. The way I look at it is that I use this card to buy a flight and thereby bank a bunch of points that will result in this being a two-point-for-purchases card.
One question I have is whether the purchase points "bank" and get matched by flight points if I get the flight points after the purchases. In other words, if I spend 10k now and then fly 10k in a couple of months, will I get both? I think so from the literature that came with the card, and I suspect the answer is in the loooong PPE thread, where I am going to look now . . . .

Yes, that's how it works. I am still receiving flight points matched with purchase points from 2005.

NOTE: As of March 9th, the Terms and Conditions for this account offer now only offer the PremierPass elite fee-free for one year only. I leave the link below for reference reasons.

Thanks. Glad it's back. Just click on the T&Cs and it says no fee alright! :)
Answer
When I go to the URL provided several posts ago, I can see in the terms and conditions that there is no fee. Great.
But it doesn't say anywhere about the 15,000 bonus points. How can I be sure that the bonus points are included? The link goes right to the application form, not to some preliminary page listing the features of the card.
Thanks!
Answer
I gave it a try. I was disappointed to miss the previous "No Annual Fee" offer. Thanks!

The problem is, the link in the first post brings you to info about the PP card with the $75 annual fee, whereas the one from post #22 brings you to the one with no fee.
Thanks.

I have read all the posts. I have read the Terms and Conditions linked to the application from post #22. I see that the annual fee is waived. I do not see that there is a 15,000 point bonus.
Answer
I don't think the T&C ever mention bonus points. However, I can't remember when the PPE card was offered WITHOUT 15,0000 TY points.
Answer

I think Pulsar's concern is that Citi may be offering to waive the annual fee in lieu of the point bonus. This seems to be a reasonable possibility, but there also seems to be no risk: apply, if there's no bonus, cancel.
Answer
I don't understand what you see in this Citi PPE card that makes it such a find for you over the other Citi cards. This offer does not come with any bonus and a companion pass that people rarely use. With bonus it is $75.00. Without the fee what makes it better than the other cards?
Answer
If you are interested in the ThankYou program you will earn 2+ points for every $ you spend assuming that you fly more than you spend.
Further, the 15,000 bonus points is as good as it gets for Citibank offers.
Suppose you get the card, spend $5k and fly 5k miles. You will earn:
5k purchase points + 5k flight points + 15k bonus points = 25k points
...with no annual fee the first year. That's pretty good.
Answer
Has anyone actually received one of the "fee waived" cards? Did you get the bonus points or not? Does it still have the companion fare? Do they reinstitute the fee after year one? I am about ready to sign up for the card, but would like to know going in what to expect.

The Citi PP Card- Elite Level comes with 15,000 bonus points, period. See CITI (http://citi.bridgetrack.com/usc/05/multi/cvg/DPR/TY/April/default.htm?app=UNSOL&sc=4D3Z52P5&m=3CEP475US0W&langId=EN&siteId=CB&B=M&BT_TX=1&BTData=C02127E796A61745C574944B7A2A6A7A5989D9288FF FAF8F3F4CA4AB19C9). Hi, philemer! Everything you say is true. As a matter of fact, just got another 15k TYP w/no fee about 4 days ago, and immediately redeemed them for $125 in free Shell gasoline. And don't forget to double these rewards by including Mrs. kaukau!!
Regards to Mrs. philemer!!

Citicards
P.O. Box 6500
Souix Falls, SD 57117
Anyone have a more expedited solution or more effective one? I'll try sending a message online too.
Answer
I applied about a month ago using the link in this thread. Received the PP Elite card in 2 weeks. Got the 15K almost immediately after that. Have since added another 10K (oh, those dental bills - paid in advance for the work to be done over the next several months - as a result a 10% discount on the total bill) plus others and already up to 30K purchase points. So now all I have to do is fly to catch up with my flight points. Admittedly, the reverse problem that most are having of matching purchase and flight points but no problem whatsoever in seeing the purchase points appear at the TYN site and on my first billing. No complaints here.
Answer
Thanks to this thread, I got my no fee PP Elite card. What are the Select Points? I looked every where and read a lot of Citi related threads. None answered my question. Can someone tell me what are the differences between Thank You Purchase points and Thank you Select point when it is time to redeem these points?
Nancy
Answer
Select Spend points are bonus points you get for using the card at grocery stores, gas stations, drugstores, parking, and mass transit. They are treated the exact same as purchase points. This is all spelled out in the card T&C (and has been discussed here extensively).
Answer
Got mine yesterday. It says Annual Fee: None!!!:) Yup it worked!^ ;)
Answer
I have read all the posts and followed the #22 link -but from what I see the fee is only waived the first year. has anyone had no fee for multiple years? Also I am comparing this card to the regular PP card - whats the deal with having to match flyer and purchase points?
Thanks!
Answer
Apparently, Citi has changed the terms and conditions for this offer so that it now states that the card is fee-free for the first year only. It seems this offer is now dead. Congrats to those who got in before it was pulled.
Any thought on whether those of us who got in under the old terms will have the original terms and conditions honored (i.e. no annual fee ever). To those who received the Citi AAdvantage cards with the fee waived for the frist year: What did your card folder say under "annual fee"? Did it state "none" or "none for the first year: __$ thereafter"?

As far as matching purchase and flyer points, that's exactly what you need to do. Flight points won't be transferred to your Thank You member account until you have or previously have transferred an equal number of purchase points. Check out the terms and condition for additional clarification.
The regular PremierPass card only gives you 1 flight point for every three miles that you fly. These also must be matched by purhase points for them to be transferred to your Thank You member account. Also with this card you do not get double purchase points on gas and grocery stores, like you do with the elite card. You also do not get free companion tickets.
Answer
in the fine print it says no double points for convience stores. Has anyone had experience with this? are most big stations classified as convience stores?

I know that the original terms allow them to add a fee later, I suppose I was asking for more of a conjecture as to if it was likely they intended to change the fee given this recent change in terms for new applications.
Answer
...asking for more of a conjecture as to if it was likely they intended to change the fee ...
My conjecture is that Citi has "clarified" rather than "changed" the offer, and I would expect all accounts to be billed an annual fee on renewal.

I believe people are receiving T&C with their card that indicate no annual fee. For Citi to bill an annual fee on renewal, they would first need to send notice of a change in the T&C (with the opportunity to opt-out by canceling the card). They can certainly do it, but it's not so simple as a charge of $75 appearing on the bill 1 years from now.

I applied on March 5th when it was still 0 annual fee. I did not get instant approval. Apparently, I was approved 3 days later (after the $0 annual fee was yanked).
The T&Cs that came with my card had the free first year annual fee, thereafter $75 language. The telephone rep. couldn't help me. Given that my credit report already had a hit from the application, I decided to keep card at this point. Bait and switch.

The terms and conditions sent with my card list: Annual Fee: please see cardholder. It's on the cardholder itseld that reads: "Annual Fee: None." Did they send you terms and conditions that explicitly listed the annual fee language as you described, or did it just reference the card holder like the terms that I received?

The language about the first year free and $75 thereafter was on the card holder.
Answer
My card holder said 'annual membership fee: NONE'. I kept it instead of shredding it like usual.
My first statement just closed and the 15K points posted. No annual fee showed. Now I just have to buy some plane tickets to get the other 15K (3 transcons ought to do it).
Thanks again OP!
Answer
i got hit with $75 fee too. immediately.. called and told them i applied for no fee card.. after arguing with the guy that indeed I do understand the difference between the elite and non elite..(very painful).. he said nothing he could do.. i asked for supervisor telling her I applied through a no fee link.. just rechecked it, it now says no fee 1yr. so deal must have changed, but at very least should get first year waived.. said she'd put in a request to have waived based on offer I saw... very unsatisfactory call. ill let you know how it turns out.. (of course the mrs. threw out the card holder, so have no idea what it said... ugh)

I have a question - when you purchase a companion ticket using this program, what does the receipt show? I am wondering if I can take my wife on the companion fare for free (almost) while claiming reimbursement from work for my ticket purchased using this program. Anybody has any experience in doing something similar. What does the receipt show? Thanks in advance!
