Question
Looks like the new citicards.com has launched
http://www.citicards.com/cards/wv/home.do
Has anyone noticed that on the home page animation the Citi Dividend card comes across as a World version? The photo of the card says World.
Is this correct or incorrect? I presume it is not, but how do they even have a photo a a World MasterCard Citi Dividend when there has never been such card.
It would be nice to have a World MasterCard version of the Citi Dividend despite the 2% now.
Any contact for the citicards.com webmaster? I cannot find information.
Answer
No animation shows up in my browser (probably getting blocked), but if you click on the Div Plat card link, it still shows a regular platinum card.
Answer
I am using IE. It is in the top part of the page in the same box as the New Site Tour link. I say animation since it moves between cards - Citi Div, AA Card, CitiBiz etc..... much like flash player does
Yes, when you go detail on the card it is not World, but the photo on the homepage shows World.
Answer

Answer

Why? I do not find WorldMasterCard to be more useful than a regular MasterCard. Frankly, it is a pain. I have to pay it off before the statement date to keep them from reporting a balance. What benefits have you found useful?

I like the fact that when I buy airline tickets, stay at a hotel or rent a car or puchase long distance train tickets, more detalis show up on my statement --departure, destination, dates, class of service etc.... MasterCard requires merchants to report this information for World and higher (World Elite) thus it shows up on my statement and allows me to identify charges more clearly. There are other benefits of World above Platinum, but I find this one to be most useful especially for frequent travellers.

Is this a card that's obtainable in the US? I don't see it on the US Citibank site and Google only shows Asian countries for the application.

World level MasterCards are only on offer in certain countries (USA is main one) I do not think HKG is one, and I am not sure about other natiosn in Asia.
USA World: see www.priceless.com
If a customer uses a World MasterCard the merchant is required to report additional information---it depends on the merchant---for some no additional is required but some (like travel I mentioned) are required to transmit addtional information. I believe this additional travel reporting is worldwide not just USA based card holders as merchant agreement are generally across borders and not country specific.
Again to stay on topic, the problem with citicards.com -- a US site for US Citibank Credit Card holders--consumer and business-- is that the picture for the Citi Dividend is showing it is a World, when in fact it is not a World level, it is just a Platinum level.
Anyone have citicards.com webmaster contact information?

Thanks Stam4Nick... I do have full details on Airline travel. I thought that it was just because Citi Chairman gave flight points so they require the information :) The other WorldCard benefits have not proven to be very useful to me.
Answer
The art work on the main citicards.com page shows the card to be both "Platinum Select" and "World", but as mentioned when you click the Learn More link the World script is absent. I do not see an email address for the Webmaster, but there is a telephone number: Online Technical Assistance 1-800-347-4934
By the way, Diners Club Mastercard is not marked "World", but travel merchants do report detailed information, and sometimes it is accurate.
