You are signed up to get 5% Cashback Bonus* with the Get More program. From January 1, 2007 through March 31, 2007, you'll get 5% Cashback Bonus on up to $1,000 in purchases on :

I asked for further clarification about Priceline and Hotwire.
Thank you for your message about the 5% Cashback Bonus program, "Choose Your Destination, Get More." From January 1, 2007, through March 31, 2007, Discover Cardmembers who participate in a Cashback Bonus Program can get a 5% Cashback Bonus Reward on qualifying purchases. The transactions must post as hotel, travel/entertainment (Priceline and Hotwire are not classified as such).
To take advantage of this free benefit, simply sign up on our home page, discovercard.com, or respond to this message. Once you sign up, you will begin receiving the 5% Cashback Bonus Reward on travel purchases including airlines, hotels, cruises, car rentals as well as on Amtrak and Greyhound tickets. You may schedule your trips for any time, as long as your purchases post to your Discover Card Account by March 31, 2007.
There is a cap of $1,000 in purchases (for a total Cashback Bonus Reward of $50), but after you reach this cap, additional purchases will earn the regular Cashback Bonus Reward of up to 1%. Remember, you have to sign up to receive this special Reward!

Beware of 1 thing with the "get more" Discover 5% bonuses: they cap out at $50. So you only get 5% on the first $1,000 of purchases in the "get more" category. After you exceed the $1,000 threshold, the remaining amount gets your normal tiered percentage (1% max). I got reminded about this cap the hard way.

My purchase of a Name-Your-Own-Price Hotel on Priceline last week posted as "Travel/ Entertainment" on the Discover Card website, we'll see if I get the 5% bonus when the statement closes in a few days, but I don't see why I wouldn't at this point.

I got reminded about this cap the hard way.You are correct to be aware of the cap, but you must also be aware the cap can and does vary by promotion, the educational expenses promotion for 7/1/06-9/30/06 for example had a $2,000 cap, not $1,000.
