Question
I have a PremierPass Elite card and I know it has some form of trip cancellation and accident insurance.
Does anyone have details on the coverage? The PremierPass people transfer me to MasterCard World, and they say they will send me something in the mail but can't tell me anything over the phone.
I have a trip coming up and I need to decide whether to buy extra insurance.
Answer
Do you still keep the copies of terms/benifits/coverage (whatever they call it) they sent you along with the card? That will be the best way to find the right numbers to call for different coverages. The general CS cannot give you the best answers, especially when it comes to travel related types of insurance coverage.
I was trying to decide which was the best CC to use last year for the accidental coverage among my various Amex and Visas. That's how I learned each issuing bank varies in their "benefits." I haven't done my research in Citi mastercard, so can't tell you what Citi Mastercard would cover.
Answer
I lost my copy of the elusive "guide to benefits"
Answer
Unfortunately I'm away for the holidays so don't have access to the detailed terms at the moment. From what I remember, the terms were fairly standard for cancellation/interruption insurance. You can see a generic statement of the benefit here at MasterCard's site:

Travel Cancellation Insurance
Plans can change unexpectedly, but you shouldn't bear the financial consequences. If your trip gets cancelled or interrupted, you're covered for the full fare when paying with World MasterCard, as well as for lost or stolen belongings, and for medical or legal emergencies. Certain restrictions and exclusions apply.
The accident insurance is the standard one you'll find on most CCs.
