Is it better to use the short cut to apply on Citibank AAdvantage?

Question
Citibank AAdvantage offers two ways to apply and I am wondering if there is an advantage to using the shortcut or does it SCREAM "already has card to them" I don't want to ask my source, because then they would know what I am up to. Has anyone got any thoughts or better yet experience going one way or the other?

What, exactly, are you up to?
If you want to open multiple accounts to receive multiple sign-up bonuses, you may, with their blessing.

Answer
Well in a meeting a few weeks back it was brought up about the FT thread of people churning cards. They then instituted a 30 day application block into their system. It is not with their blessing. Now I am wondering if the shortcut allows them to see your other account information with the application, they will see that I am churning and therefore it might raise more flags and at a future meeting I will learn of a wonderful new feature that will block that as well. So I am wondering does it link? Has anyone had any experience one way or the other with the shortcut. I guess I could just not be lazy and fill out the complete form.

Answer
I have used different websites to apply for cards: Airline websites, Bank websites (both short and long forms), and even the generic web pages that advertise all cards, and have never noticed a difference in the acceptance process.

My experience is otherwise.
One may hold as many accounts as one's CR/FICO suggests is prudent for the lender.

Answer
They'll see your other accounts no matter what form you use. Is that what you're asking?

Not true.
I was talking to Citi about a separate issue. The rep asked if I'd like to apply for AA card and get 25k miles. I told her I already had it, and she said I should get another one anyway. I stated I didn't think it was allowed, and she told me the last person she spoke with already had 4 cards.
Having said that, Citi does limit you to 2 applications within 60 days. But that is for all accounts, not just AA MC.

Answer
Using shortcut identifies you as an existing customer and hence LESS scrutiny of your credit profile.
For example, using shortcut there is no question such as "What is the make of your car, and what year?" in the form to fill out.
I thought Citi's interval is 60 days, not 30 days.
My recent exp is they want to push additional card to you if you are deemed a good credit risk.
