Question
I read somewhere (but can't find it now) that if you have a mortgage with Citimortgage there was a way to get points for paying your mortgage.
Am I going crazy or has someone else heard this?
Answer
You can get Thank You points for most loans/credit cards/banking products at Citi.

Does your mortgage allow CC payments?
Answer
I found this online
Description:
This is a new campaign called Citi - Very Rewarding.” Citi promotes its rewards program with Citi - Very Rewarding which features two eccentric East European-sounding characters, Roman and Victor showing the many ways they can earn Citi rewards points. In the six TV spots and three print executions, the pair show how easy it is to earn Citi rewards point by doing everything from basic banking to paying their Citimortgage to using the Citi Premier Pass Credit card. The spots are directed by Jared Hess, best known as the director of Napolean Dynamite and Nacho Libre.

There's a list of banking products that earn ThankYou points and a calculator. Have you called Citi yet?
I think you have to pay the mortgage from your Citi checking account.
Answer
Using the Thank You Rewards calculator indicates that having a Citimortgage earns 150 points per month, not a variable amount based on the size of the mortage balance or payment.

No, the amount of points you earn depends on which checking account you select. For paying a CitiMortgage, the CitiGold account provides 150 pts/mo., the Everything Counts account provides 100 pts/mo., EZ Checking gives 50 pts/mo., while the basic checking provides 25 pts/mo, etc.
But you're right, the amounts are in no way related to the size or terms of the mortgage.
