You earn 1 pt / $1 spent. Once you have 7500 points, you can redeem for a $100 statement credit off any travel purchase. So more or less it's a 1.33% cashback on travel card. You don't earn miles, but you do get guaranteed >1% value and you can book the travel anywhere, does not have to be through AMEX or any specific airlines/hotels.

Good Point :) But I still would think it would get more of a response in the AMEX forum as it is an AMEX card.
