Does anybody know if it's possible to get a German-based Visa Lufthansa Miles&More creditcard when located in another country?
I live in the Netherlands, we do have a Visa Lufthansa Miles&More creditcard, BUT the German-based card is a bit cheaper AND all award miles remain valid, while in my case -when using the Netherlands-based card- they will expire after three years.
I tried to contact them, but after 20 minutes on an expensive number, tried 20 times to call an expensive German number and no answer on my email until now, I try this way. Although, these experiences make me wonder if I'm doing the right thing even trying it...

You can only get the German Miles + More Visa credit card if you live, have an address in Germany and have a German bank acc't. The card comes in the classic and gold version. Costs are between €50 and €95 per year depending on card type and taking the business option i.e. car insurance, retail coverage etc. The card is free for Senators and HON Circle members. Miles do not expire as long as you are a card member. You get 1mile for every 1€ spent. And finally, the card is issued by the Bayern LandesBank (Bavarian Land Bank). And finally I received the answer:
It is NOT necessary to live in Germany, you only need the German bankaccount! So now I can apply for the German Lufthansa M&M Visa creditcard, it's cheaper than the Dutch one AND all miles will stay valid as long as I keep this card...
