i got a new citi platinum word MC yesterday and noticed it looked diff.
the MC hologram is now on the back.
i wonder how many merchants are going to look at the card twice now?

That is interesting. Citibank does that with the chairman card, but I didn't know they had rolled it out to the other cards as well.
As far as the merchants looking at the card twice. It does happen all the time. A bit annoying (IMHO) since it slows down the transaction.

New Citi AAdvantage World MC Platinum Level - MC logo is smaller and on the front, but hologram is on the back.
I got my AAdvantage card earlier this week.

People look twice at the Chairman Card because it does not have a MC logo on the front. No one has looked twice at my AAdvantage card.

If you have them add your picture to the card, everything moves back to the front.

Not just Citibank. All the new Visas are like this. Visa regulates the logo and hologram--not the banks.

A MasterCard hologram is usually on the front of a MasterCard card either above or below the MasterCard Brand Mark.
