Hawaiian Airlines Visa downgrade...

Question
I just got my new Hawaiian Airlines Visa from BofA. I have has the card for three years and enjoyed the extra perks like 5,000 anniversary miles each year and coupons that they send you each year as well. The new card had a flyer enclosed that detailed a few changes (Downgrades) to the program such as changing the anniversary miles from 5,000 to 2,000 and no more coupons. I haven't been using the card much and with these changes it just came out of my wallet.

How odd. The current offer I list on my website still say that the renewal miles bonuses will be 5,000 and 2,500 miles, resp., for the Platinum and Classic Visa credit cards. You might want to make a copy of the appropriate offer and send it to them.

I called customer service after looking at the website. They told me that all Platinum cardholders received the new Terms of Service which changes the anniversary bonus to 2,000 and eliminates the annual coupons. What a crappy move. I was only a month away from my anniversary too.

Answer
I think they re-instated the old terms, as the website changed twice! Old to new terms, and now back to old terms, in about 3 weeks!

I did notice that the original terms were still listed ont the website. I don't know if anybody else complained, but they were really gettign stingy with the benefits! The worst thing was the tiny asterisk at the bottom of the insert stating that they will no longer send you coupons for free drinks and headsets each year. That was so dumb because it doesn't cost them much and I am sure that very few people remember to bring those coupons when they take a flight. Hopefully they came to their senses and things stay the same...
