Question
Signed up for the Chase UA MP card. Did not know if I had a mileage plus account with UA so I left any fields for that info blank, thinking they would check or create a new one for the card. Received the cards and there is no mileage plus acct # imprinted on the card. We called and spoke with several different people, at chase and UA MP dept who constantly referred us back to the other. Finally got a Chase rep that said they no longer put the mileage plus number on the credit card for security reasons. 2 weeks later we get a letter from chase regarding our inquiry stating "Yes the mileage plus acct on your card is correctly linked to the credit card" Is it correct that they no longer imprint the MP # on the credit card? I'm looking for someone who can confirm or deny this who's gotten their new card within the past month.
They did in fact create a new mileage plus account for me, I'm not sure if it is linked correctly. The first statement ended a few days ago and I haven't seen the mileage post to my MP yet. How long does it typically take from the end of your billing cycle/statement posting date until miles are credited to your MP account? Obviously I want to be all over them as quickly as possible if I determine that miles are not posting to mp acct.
Answer
I wonder when they stopped that. I got my MP card back in Jan, the first one came without the MP number on it. When I called, they reissued another card with my MP number on it.
I sure wish my other cards had my FF number on them.
Answer
Well, I'm not exactly convinced that what they are telling me is true. Can someone tell me how long it takes for their miles to post to their MP acct after the end of their first billing cycle?

I received a Chase MP Visa card yesterday. It still had my MP # on it. The only notable difference between my old card and the new card is that the new card has "VISA" on a white box background on the bottom right of the new card.

Quokka, thank you very much. Chase better be reissuing our card with the 20,000/no annual fee plan as opposed to the 17,500/$60 we signed up for(didn't see the other until later) or there is going to be hell to pay.
BTW, that new designed VISA on the white box background really threw off a merchant I visited the past weekend. A new employee kept looking at the card, then after he handed it back he said, "uh I wasn't able to determine what type of credit card that was" so I pulled it out and showed him the new visa logo.
Answer
I just received my new Chase UA MP Visa about 2 weeks ago and it does have my MP# on it. I have not yet cycled so no miles (including the 20K sign-up) have posted yet

My last statement closing date was 8/27/06. The posting date of these miles on my MP account - 8/27/06!
Yes, my card also has the MP # printed on it!
