For the first time in approx 1 yr, the Chairman Card Companion ticket benefit worked for me !!!!!!
I am flying in Biz class from ELP-MBJ with my wife for 1932.00RT on American Airlines on Dec 14-19th -- booked the tickets today...each ticket costs $966...not bad at all...
American is charging $832/pp in Cattle Class...and $1298/pp...
Works for me and I earn AA miles including the 100% platinum bonus...

Great to hear this. Can you clarify a couple of things:
Did you go through the "international desk" for this?
Is this Business class on a 3-class aircraft, or BusinessFirst? (I thought the benefit was only for Coach and First class).
What is the fare basis of your ticket, and what are the fare rules? Are these refundable tickets, or is the one you are paying for refundable?
What did the receipt look like, or when you get a receipt at the airport, I'm curious what it will look like. If someone were reimbursing your ticket based on this receipt, what would your out-of-pocket expenses for your wife be. (I.e., presumably at least taxes and maybe some fees?)

Here are the answers to your questions:
1) no "Internantional Desk'...called Chairman CSR and they transferred me
2) First from ELP-DFW, then Business from DFW-MIA and Business from MIA-MBJ and same route back
3) Non refundable tickets, $100change fee and differnce in fare...Once I get the itinerary
4) This is personal travel so I will get the flight point on the chairman card for both people and do not know if I will get the AA miles for both people...As soon as I get a reciept, I will attach it to a post...
