Question
I saw a full page ad in last Sunday's NY Times for a Citi credit card that had an excellent first-use bonus and other T&C that looked great. But I left the paper in the airport. Can anyone help me out with a link to the ad elsewhere or tell me what the specifics were so I can consider applying? Thanks.
Answer
Haven't seen the specific ad, but there are a number of Citibank offers floating around there. FatWallet Finance usually has a few listed:
http://www.fatwallet.com/c/52/
Was this a points card or an AA miles card?

It was a points card. I checked the Citi credit card list at their web site and I'd swear there was a better offer in the Times ad than those I can find now at the web site. Maybe I just imagined it. I'll keep looking. Thanks for the FatWallet link. I'm researching it with Citi as my search word.
Answer
In today's Miami Herald there is a glossy insert featuring two Citi cards. One is Citi Diamond Preferred Rewards American Express which earns Thank You points. 10,000 points for first purchase, 5 points per dollar for the usual retail categories for the first year only, 1 point per dollar otherwise. 0% APR balance transfers until 7.1.2007. Doesn't seem very special to me, but if this is it call 1.800.617.5902 by 8.15.2006, offer F4F1 .

the same as what you saw in newspaper inserts.
Furthermore, those available on citi site do not have offer expiration date nor code to put thru.
The only difference I have seen so far, is 0% BT for 12 to 15months.
Answer
There are some special offers out there for better sign-up bonuses. For instance, PremierPass (the no-annual fee version) has a 10k signup offer out there, but the standard offer at Citicards.com is still 5k. I think the best offers that Citi has out there (for no annual fee cards) is around $100 gift card with 0% for 12-15 months. I think that's available for Diamond Preferred, PremierPass, and AT&T Universal Rewards. Professional used to have a $100 offer too. Not sure if still out there.
