I recently received a mailed letter from my bank inviting me to join Visa Extras. The address is VisaExtras.com I havent heard of anything like this with VISA before so I wanted to check with people that are "in the know" I see a 4 day cruise listed at like 450,000 points how does this compare to other programs? Thanks for any insider info that anyone can offer me on this program :)

Wachovia sent me an invite to add Visa Extras to my debit card about 4 months ago. Is that the program you're referring to?
Only reason I signed up was the signup bonus. Got a gift card for CVS out of that. I have never actually used my debit card, except as an ATM card.
You can do much better with credit card reward programs.

I use it for my primary banking account. Not as rich as a cash back or mileage credit card, but it doesn't hurt to add it, especially if you use your Visa debit card more than a credit card (just be sure to use as "credit" not "debit".) Also, I think you get a few points for other transactions such as automated withdrawls and checks.

I am just about to accumulate enough points for a 100 Avis reward. Has anyone ordered a reward yet? Any problems receiving it?
