Question
For the AirTran, 8 credits for first use offer (http://www.applyairtran.com/) one of my readers pointed out that "when I click TERMS AND CONDITIONS, it has two tiers. Tier 1 has an annual fee of $39, with a lower interest rate. Tier 2 offers a higher interest rate, but lists the annual fee as $0."
So I called Juniper Bank about this. At first, I was told by the rep that it is impossible to request in advance which tier I want, and that if I were to be approved for the lower rate card, I would be required to pay the $39 fee. I refused, and asked to speak to a supervisor. After a long wait, I was told by the rep that a supervisor was not available, but that he could mail me an offer for a low rate, no fee, 8 credits card. Since I already have a Juniper Bank account, he knew who I was and my address from my phone number.
We shall see what I get, and if it is targeted. Please report here about your experience with trying to get the tier 2, no annual fee offer. Thanks.
