Answer
Careful....Choice offers no blackout dates, but they do have capacity controls. And they have raised the points required for redemptions at many of their properties this year. Also, points expire after two years. Most folks will be better off with a cash back card.

Last day to sign up for the promo is 31 August.
By the way, I'm typing from the Quality Inn ROC. I cashed in 10,000 of my free 24,000 points to stay one night at this property. :o

Answer
Can't you also change these points into AA miles? That's why I signed up.

Answer
I know it states that it will take 6-8 wks for miles to post to mileage account when earning miles but for those of you earning pts and then you have transferred those pts toSouthwest account, how long did it take for the credits to show in your Southwest account?
Thought there was a poster back in the summer who stated it only took a day or two. I'm trying to top off at the very last minute possible.
Any responses appreciated.

So I guess to make max useof this as a miles transfer you need spend $1000 and then transfer 5K miles.

Sure but then you would have been better off with the CC offered for the airline you would transfer the miles to. Since Choice hotels seems to run about $50 - $80 and you can get 2 or 3 nights with the points then the max value is about $160 for the points which is better then 5k miles in an airline transfer.
Compared to BofA's US 25k offer or Citi's AA 20k and Chase's UA 20k offer this is weak. Though I did take advantage of it because my marginal cost is so low.
When the points posted 2 weeks ago only 8k posted and I had to call to get it corrected to 24k. BofA did correct it without much of an issue though the rep did check to see that I was entitled to the points.
