Delta offers me 1,500 miles to renew Am Ex card

Question
What's up? Is this something to do? I have to go online to do so.
thanks

Answer
Could you please say a little more about what offer you received, how and from whom? Also what you mean about going online to do it? Thanks.

Answer
here's what it says. "Your Gold Delta Skymiles credit card from American express earned you over 10,000 Skymiles in the last year. And now, because we want you to get even closer to your next destination, we're offering 1,500 bonus miles just for renewing your Cardmembership. To get your membership bonus, simply enroll online at americanexpress.com/renewmydelta51 by June 30, 2006"
So?

Answer
Well if you want to renew your card and you'd like to have the 1,500 miles, I guess you should do it! I don't really understand your question.
When it was time for me to renew my Gold Amex last month, my offer was 50% off the renewal fee which I had to go online to do.

Answer
I guess I'll renew.

Answer
When I called to cancel my DL Amex card, I was offered 3500 miles. My point is that you may do better than 1500 miles.

Answer
Quick experimentation gives this link:
www.americanexpress.com/renewmydelta53 for 5K miles
51-57 appear to work although 55-57 appear to be identical to 51-53

Answer
54 is for 50% off annual fee as statement credit, FYi

thanks so much for these links....

Mods:Should this be on AE?

Answer
If you want to renew, renew. If not, don't. In the context of other offers out there right now, this one shouldn't steer your decision -- it doesn't even move the needle.
See the several threads that address the cc:miles issues extensively - and answer many more questions than you have - on at least the AA, UA and US boards. You can do far, far better.

I think so too ... or are there any other Delta Credit Cards (other then from American Express)?
