Don't say I never gave ya anything.

Answer
The down side of this offer is you have to pay $85 annual fee. Another offer is 12,500 miles with no annual fee for the first year.

Answer
This has been on AA over a week now:
CC Offer: 25K miles after $250 spend (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=552427)

Answer
I used to have a CitiAAdvantage card about 3 years ago but canceled it when the annual fee came up. Do you think that I would qualify for this offer as a "new" account even though I had a card years ago?

Answer
Yes.
I was on the phone with AA, and when done with my question the rep told me about the 25k offer. I said I already have a card. She responded, "The last person I talked to had 4."

Answer
CitiBusiness MC 25,000 miles for $250 spend question:
I already have a CitiBusiness Visa I got I think a 15K mi. bonus on.
Since this is a MC would the conventional wisdom be that I could get the MC bonus now? Also, is the fee waived on that with Citigold or is that only for the personal account? (Both the Personal and Business accounts are Citigold)

These Citibank/Aadvantage cards advertise:
Reduced Mileage Awards let you travel to select destinations for 7,500 fewer miles
Program allows cardmembers to redeem AAdvantage® miles for MileSAAverSM awards to selected locations. Locations change quarterly. CitiBusiness® / AAdvantage® MasterCard® and platinum cardmembers save 7,500 AAdvantage® miles. Redemption of Reduced Mileage Awards applies only to bookings made by phone through American Airlines reservations or through airport or city ticket offices. All such award travel is subject to an additional payment of $15.
Does anyone know where to look to find the "selected locations" for the reduced mileage awards?

Thanks. That's actually pretty cool. Has anyone ever tried to get any of those awards? Do they come out of the same inventory as Saaver Awards in general? Assuming that they are not impossible to get, those awards aren't bad. One more reason to get the card, I think.

I've used the reduced awards to book ORD-PVR for 17,500 miles. I checked for award availability on AA.com and then called to book. You must call and give the code to book these award seats.

I have not yet found a destination on the list that fits our plan.
The reduced miles award cannot be booked online, thus incur telephone ticketing fee. Also the reduced miles award does not allow stopover nor openjaw (unlike the regular award). If your plan is to travel straightly from point A to point B, then it is a good deal when your destination is on the list. However for people like us who always at least incur a stopover (it is like have 2 awards for one price), it is unattractive (the saving of 7500 miles = $75 but a stopover can easily add $150 and up on the value of a ticket)

I've been reading the terms of this offer, and it doesn't look like the $85 is charged up front, rather than at the end of the year (at which point you can choose to cancel). Is there anything different about this fee?

Really? Where in T&C does it say the annual fee will be charged at the end of the year. Based on my experience, whenever I have a new citi credit card, even though all my cards are free, it is always listed as "annual fee ..................... $0.00" in the first statement. I am afraid that $85 will be listed there for the AA MC. I hope I am wrong.

T&C is silent. My experience was the fee came later; clearly anyone should check.
BUT: If you apply on MaY 18--there is no annual fee! Go to aa.com and you'll see this offer. 25K bonus miles after $250 purchase; annual fee waived for 1 year; companion certificate. This is valid only if you sign up today (I just did).

Thanks to your valuable information, I also applied this morning but didn't get an instant decision. Now, I just need to relax and wait for the decision.

Answer
the current offer is 20k AA miles and the annual fee waived for the first year. Signed up today - still a great deal.

Answer
There's another offer that's a bit different, slightly better (or at least as good). 20k upfront, first year annual fee waived. If you pay the annual fee the second year, there's an extra 5k. Business version of the card has a $75 annual fee vs $85 for the personal. 1.5 cents/mile for the extra 5k with the business card.

Answer
I cancelled AA card 3 months ago, and just re-applied and re-accquired last month, after I spent $250 and did get 25,000 miles.
Be frank, AA's citi card is lack of promotion all the time, only the 25,000 miles is attractive

Answer
I have a Citi Gold and Citi Amex, and applied for this Citi Plat. I received a letter saying I could only have one card at a time, but that they were "reviewing my application". Then a day later, I received the card. So strange...

My latest snail-mail offer was the same, but it was $50 for the personal.

Is there anything different about this fee?Speaking from Citibank experience, yes, the $85 fee shows up on your first statement BUT if you read the back of the statement it says you can cancel the card and if you do it within 30 days of receiving the statement showing the $85 fee, they will credit the fee back. I just did this. I had to tell the customer service agent about 4 times to cancel the fee before it showed up as cancelled on my citibank on-line view of the account.

Actually you get another 5,000 after the first year and paying the fee for a total of 25,000.

Answer
I got a AA Platinum card last June, received the sign-up bonus of AAdvantage miles offered at the time (20,000 I think), and have continued to use the card for my small eBay consignment business ever since. I'm now thinking that back when I got the card, Citibank was also offering an "end of first year" miles bonus of like 10,000 AAdvantage miles with this card too.
Does this offer ring a bell with anyone? I've looked through a lot of the threads and posts here but haven't found specific mention of this offer. Maybe I just dreamed it up!
Any feedback appreciated because if I'm due another miles bonus in June, I'll probably have to pry the miles out of Citibank so would like to know if I was just pipe-dreaming here! Thanks.:)

Mary--what do you mean "end of first year bonus?" Did they email you some sort of an offer to keep the card? I'd be interested in seeing the text of that if you could post it.

No, they did not ... what I recall is that the Citibank MC AAdvantage Platinum card offer I responded to (was mounted on the AA website) promoted 20,000 (maybe 25,000) miles after signing up and charging $250 to the card and then 10,000 more bonus miles after you'd had the card for a year.
However, I really am beginning to think I must have dreamed up those 10,000 miles:td: as I've not found mention of them anywhere here on flyertalk. Aargh ...

Yeah--closest I have seen is 20K @ signup and 5K after a year. Many FTer's call to cancel the month before the year is up and are offered some number of thousands of miles to keep the card--which they do for another month and then cancel anyway.

Answer
They just increased the minimum $$ to spend in the first 4 months to $750 according to the link provided in this thread, and on aa.com
The link that allows you to still get 20K miles after $250 purchase is
