USAirways Bank of America convenience checks

Question
I have a USAirways Bank of America VISA card (opened mainly to get the bonus miles to top off my account). Recently I have received two sets of convenience checks that are highly unusual. I can use any or all of them through May 31, 2006 (subject to my credit limit), with no balance transfer or check fees. PLUS, here is the kicker, I earn Dividend Miles - 1 mile per $1 of check value written.
I am planning on writing a check for just under my credit limit, cashing it, then sending in a personal check to pay off the amount. Once both their convenience check and my payment clear, I can do this again and again, up to three checks, up to my credit limit each time.
I will pay 5.5% interest on the outstanding balance but that is not going to be much considering that I will only have the balance there for a couple of days each time.
You can earn a maximum of 20,000 miles through this promotion and I intend to max out the entire $20,000 by the end of May.

Answer
My read is that you can get a maximum of 10,000 miles with USAirways for using the convenience checks from Juniper.

On the letter attached to the checks, the fine print, among other things, says:
"There is a mileage cap of 20,000 miles from the use of these checks."
I don't know what Juniper is so maybe that is a different offer.

The card the original poster was talking about is offered by Bank of America. The one you are referring to is by Juniper Bank. Two totally different USAirways cards!!!

The card on the left (Visa signature card) is the card by BoA and the card of the right (Premier World MC) is by Juniper Bank.

I just signed up for the B of A US Airways Signature card. I am looking forward to the 25,000 miles after first purchase bonus. That check deals seems to make this card almost irresistible. I hope I get that offer from them.

Answer
Just looked at my first statement online at Bank of America. Can't be happier:
1) they waived the annual fee a couple of months ago
2) my first charge earned me 25,000 bonus miles
3) using 3 convenience checks gave me 17,600 additional bonus miles so far
4) I have one more convenience check for May to earn another +-6,000 miles and three more that came for use through end of June, which should net me another 20,000 miles for that offer.
So for about $20 in interest charges on the convenience checks (timing between when the convenience checks are posted and when they receive my payment) I will have received almost 70,000 miles.

Here is my update:
Due to the timing of my checks hitting the bank and my credit limit, I only ended up getting 65,000 miles not 70,000 miles the past two months. But I did get wiser and set up online payments so I could make a payment as soon as the checks posted to my credit card account. Still, for only $20 in interest I will take 65,000 miles anytime.
Along with my current mileage balance I need to charge less than $3,000 more and I will get a free business class ticket to Europe. Sweet.

Me too, I signed up for the BofA US Airways card a few months back. I hope I get the offer too! How did you get the annual fee waived?
