I know Master Platinum and Visa Signature coverage become primary outside U.S.
However, lately it seems it is more dependent to the issuers of the card rather than the category of the card.
I would strongly suggest you call your card issuer to find out. If your card is a MC from Citi, it would direct you to call MC Assist, even for literature. MC Assist will send you the literature detailing the coverage - it also can identify what type of coverage your card carries.
