Question
Need some help deciding which card would be best for me. I currently have Dividend Miles Visa and Amex Platinum MR. I like to earn miles and I never carry any balances.
The Visa is used to charge approx. $70,000 monthly and Amex mainly for personal use. (I have had this card for many years).
I want to switch from US Airways to AA out of MIA and have signed up for the Platinum Challenge. I understand that the citibank card has mileage limits unless the cardholder has status.
Are any alternatives suggested other than waiting until I have completed the challenge and gained Platinum status with AA and then applying for the citibank card and then being able to benefit from no annual cap on the mileage?
Thanks in advance. I am new to this community and have become somewhat obsessed with this site. My wife thinks I have gone off the deep end and wants no part in any of this.

Why not the Starwood AMEX. You can transfer 20,000 Starpoints for 25,000 AA miles. I would lose both the VISA and your AMEX MR and get just the Starwood card, imo

Go starwood but keep the visa (it's handy when abroad etc as not many places take it)

Another vote for Amex SPG.
Answer
AMEX Starwood but you might need another card as AMEX can be tight before they ffer 70K credit line on this card. 20-30K is a good starting line. I spend 60K a month on the card.

Answer
60k/80k a month in charges? 60k/mo on personal use... can go with 60k/mo if on business uses but thats a lot of personal charges... guess you can take me shopping...:)
guess anything over 25k/mo is a lot on my end... even self employed charges can't ring me up that much...
vote for starwood as well...:)
