Using ITIN for recording credit history

Question
Does anybody know of residents/non-residents without SSN, but with ITIN (Individual Tax Identification Number) that hold US credit cards and get score using their ITIN?

Answer
Anyone?

Answer
Yes! Me and my brother.
He once got an ITIN and now he has 2 american credit cards and a Credit Score of more than 800. I actually donīt remember if it is in the 900s. the thing is he has a Wells Fargo Platinum and a Chase Platinum both with no annual fee. He started with a secure Wells Fargo and then got the unsecured one. When he applied 3 years latter to many credit cards, the only one who gave him another one was Chase. And then it happened, both banks have been fighting each other to get all our business and credit lines have gone up. Everytime one finds the otherone increased the credit line, it increases it also. So my brother stays with both cards as he lives in a different country but it is great to use those cards when booking flights with usa airlines becasue it gets cleared faster and I can also buy things in America by internet and a lot cheaper. All my friends ask me to buy them things and then we go pick them up and we keep the 1% cash back. so the answer is yes, you can get a Credit Card with you ITIN and the best thing is that they donīt issue ITINs anymore. In order to get one you have to have a really good reason, like paying taxes in the USA. It is not as it use to be when we got ours.

Answer
You have an american credit card, you automatically get a score and have credit history. The difficult part is having an ITIN or SSC to get an american credit card. So yes, you get score even if you donīt have ITIN or SSC and have an american credit card.

I have an ITIN number, and I do own 2 American credit cards for a few months. The problem is that when I try to get my credit report and score through one of the bureaus (Equifax, Experian or TransUnion) they don't recognize my ITIN. Is there something I need to do for them to recognize it?
Thanks,
Dan

Answer
How weird! Are both of your credit cards link to your ITIN. If not, talk to the bank and make them link your ITIN. Try asking the 3 institutions by your name and also, let me know if your ITIN is linked to your credit cards. If it is, then call any of those 3 companies and ask for the credit history and check if your credit cards are on it, as they can have many homonims.
