There really aren't any miles cards which can beat this one in the 5% category. I know I use it just where I earn 5% and use my frequent flier card elsewhere. Annual cash back is limited to $300 per year, but once you have redeemed your initial signing bonus, you can switch to Chase's Rewards Plus program with a much higher annual reward limit ($750) and the option of using points for free flights, cash, merchandise etc.

Unfortunately the redemption limit is so low $300 or $750 that its not worth it for a good chunk of the CC junkies to even bother with it. Who want to cap out in 3 or 4 mos then switch all your spending. Not worth the hassle for such little benefit

Answer
How many people could acutally cap out a $750 max card in 3 months? That's $5000/month on groceries/gas/drug stores... One other nice feature of the Chase Rewards Plus MasterCard (not the Visa version though) is that you can exchange the points for UA/CO miles at very good rates if you're primarily earning at 5%.

Try someone spending for a corporation on a personal card...or some of the people in the AMEX forums. Even at 1% redemption they could pull that off in a few months.

Well of course if your spending for a corporation it might not be... For the rest of us though, it is a pretty good deal.
Once you switch to Rewards Plus you have $15,000 in spending to do at the gas, grocery or drug store to max out. And that's assuming that you only use it at those places in which you earn 5%.
I don't know about you... but there's a lot of hassles I'd go through for $750.

Sure, but there are a lot better cards to use on the regular spending categories (e.g., MBNA Fidelity with 1.5% back or Amex SPG). The 5% back cards are mainly useful on the 5% categories.

Answer
I already have the Chase Rewards VISA... am I allowed to apply for the MC as well? Will I still get the $100?

In my experiences with Chase (both as itself and the former Bank One), just go ahead and apply. As long as you have excellent credit history/score they will likely give you another card.

Done! I could use another 100 bucks.
I use both Chase and Citibank cashback cards. For the 1st initial year I use:

For cashback card, Chase Cash Plus is better than Citibank Dividend Platinum Select (cashback). Chase is more aggressive with its initial cashback promos.
For balance transfers in increments of $1500, use Citibank 0% offer good for at least 1 year. Citibank Dividend Network Merchants can provide unlimited cashback beyond the $300 annual max....if you shop this way.
Keep in mind the annual max per card account is $300.
