This promotion popped up in my account again today.
The deal is that if you have an AAdvantage MC you can get discounts for purchases on AAvacations.

You are entitled to a 10% discount on air and a 5% discount on land. Your discount will be reflected on the vacations price quote page. Please note: AAVacations.com does not offer an "air only" option. In order to obtain your discount, you must include your AAdvantage number.
I used this discount last year to purchase a trip. It worked flawlessly. With the discounts, the trip on AAvacations came to the same price as trips purchased through the typical online sites.
The only way to get the discount is to follow a link from the Citibank account website. I have no idea if it is targeted or not.
