US Airways CC offer? Mastercard...

Question
Just got an email to this offer and was trying to get feedback if it is a good deal and if there are any pitfalls.
http://www.juniper.com/app/japply/lp/domains/usairwaysbanner.jsp
Looks like the offer.
6 month 0%
2 year annual fee waived (normally $79/yr)
1.5 miles for each $1 spent 1st year
15000 miles after first purchase
Balance transfer miles but not spending the 3% to do so. (up to 10k)
Thoughts?
If I were to get it just for the 15000 bonus miles is that overkill?

Answer
Seems like a no brainer, I signed up and them had mom sign up as well. She was approved 4 years post bankruptcy (nursing home bills for dad), and she had been turned down by everybody, but was approved for this (for a measly $500 limit 19.24%, but she pays in full anyway). Mine was $11K limit, 17.24% Seems the best 15K offer in awhile, and we will both cancel before the 2 year limit before the $79 fee.
If you do not specify a balance transfer at the start, you must wait until the card comes and is activated. BT's are 6 mos 0% interest.
Anyway, topped off the US acct with the 15K miles and will most likely do a transfer for more and close out my Advanta.

Answer
Getting this card is a no brainer. No fee and 15K miles.
Check out the lengthy thread over on the USAir board.

Answer
The balance transfers do earn FF miles (capped), but are also subject to a 3% fee up $100.

Answer
Assuming you ascribe some value to USAirways miles (and I just returned from India F class, Lufthansa on them), this is the best credit card deal I've seen so far. If you happen, like me, to get other offers for 0% credit card checks, you can sign up, transfer a $10K balance from one 0% card to another, and get 25,000 miles for $50 (the maximum cost of the transfer).
In a way the offer is better than it sounds, because I couldn't find any mention of the maximum fee for transfers on the web site. I spotted it on Juniper Bank's website and called to confirm (yes, $50 maximum for balance transfers if initiated within the first month, $100 maximum after that).
The other details are good, too, preferred check-in priveleges, opportunity to earn 10K Preferred miles, etc.
I read all the fine print and couldn't find anything wrong with it; after that it took 1 minute to fill out the on-line form, get approved, transfer my balance, and move on.
Usual caveats about credit cards apply - if you don't have a good credit rating, the balance transfer doesn't make sense; having too many cards can potentially hurt your credit rating; if you miss a payment or end up on revolving credit you're dead meat, which is how the banks make money in the first place.

What does revolving credit mean?
Where do you see the $50 max transfer balance fee? All I see is $100 is the max.

Answer
The card is comparable to the other mileage cards if you fly US then you will be happy. I took the card last year for the bonus offer and the intial apr. Since then it pretty much sits around with very little us as I use my Citi Premier Pass and my Mileage Plus as much as possible.

What does revolving credit mean?
-- What I meant is not to find yourself in a state where you can't pay off the full balance once the "teaser" expires or you're making additional charges beyond the balance transfer; in either case you'll be charged a high rate of interest.
Where do you see the $50 max transfer balance fee? All I see is $100 is the max.
-- I called them to confirm, and they gave the information that I provided ($50 maximum if initiated when the account is opened).

Answer
pjacobs2267 means that if you do not pay the bill in full every cycle you will pay a large amount of finance charges because even the lowest interest rate offered by this card is excessively high.

I would thinks so. Juniper aloud me to sign up for two airtran cards. I put my middle name and my company name on one and the other just my name. They are both personal cards. Juniper also let me move over most of my credit limits from the airtran cards to the usair card.

Answer
I also received bonus points for both cards. I am going to wait about a year for my second usair card in hopes to extend the 50% bonus for a second year.

Answer
It is $100.00 the $50.00 amount they are referring to is their other cards that do not give miles for the BT. If you are looking for a BT at a low fee, go with the parks card from Juniper.
