Anyone have any luck getting US Bank to waive international currency conversion fees?

Question
I know from reading some old posts, and from personal experience, that it's very difficult/impossible to get US Bank to waive the annual fee on the WorldPerks visa (unlike the Delta Amex, which I got them to waive almost every year I had it).
However, wondering if anyone has called US Bank to try to have the 3% international currency conversion fee waived, refunded, or at least reduced.
Visa charges the banks a 1% fee, and US Bank (and several other card issuers) tack on an additional 2% which is purely profit.
In prebooking some flights and hotels for an upcoming trip to OZ, I've already been hit with over $100 in fees... which of course, I'd like back!

Answer
International currency conversion fees are seldom waived.
If you are a Preferred Access, Private Banking or commercial customer, you could request always waiver from your relationship manager. Otherwise, you're probably out of luck.

Answer
Pretty much all the mileage cards stick their members with 3% conversion fees. See the FT wiki for a list of cards and their fees:

I had the same problem and could never get it waived. Switched to a visa card via a St. Paul Mn. Credit Union and NO FEE on International charges. Not sure which bank they use, but no fee. Card is via www.hiway.org web site may advise which bank is actually handling visa card. Anyway, have not been billed any international charges. regards.

As this post has almost nothing to do with NWA, and more a direct credit card question, I'm moving it....
