Has anyone figgured out how to get the +3 ML+ card benefits that are new for this year, such as the Crown Room membership and Leaders Club membership? I figgured this deserved a new thread since the old one was discussing what WILL happen, and this one is the discussion of what IS happening.

Charge 50K on the card. You get o level 3 benefits and you get the annunal club membership and th other level 3 benefits.

I don't think the two previous posts answer the original posters question! Sadly I don't have the answer either but what I assume the post is asking is this:
Person achieved ML 3+ status in 2005 by spending 50k on the card. Based on ML info, this 3+ status is good from the time they achieved the status PLUS the following year (thus 2006 in this case). This would mean that the poster has 3+ status this year and wants to know how to get the benefits like the LHW Leaders Club Membership and also the AA or DL Club Membership.
I too achieved 3+ status last year and am wondering about how to get the "new" benefits of this level. Simple phone call to ML would probably answer the question (just too lazy to do it right now since I am not desperately in need of the two new benefits).
Changes to this cards benefits really changed my spending habits on it. I haven't put a single $ on it since the changes where announced. Ritz vouchers where really the only reason I used the card. Back to Starwood AMEX my business went!!

I highly doubt our +3 status from 2005 will entitle us to +3 status benefits for 2006. ML/MBNA will probably make us earn it again in 2006 in order to receive the benefits. Although the Delta Club membership would be nice since Continental Clubs accept them. I've cut my spending on this card as well after hitting +3 status in 2004 and 2005. For some reason I ended up getting 12 Ritz certs total. I think they messed up and sent too many. I have 3 nights left to use before 6/30/2006. Unfortunately, the Maui Ritz is not available anytime in 2006 for some odd reason. I've successfully used the Ritz Certs at: SanFran; DC-Pentagon City; PalmBeachFL; SanJuan Puerto Rico. I'm gonna miss this perk!

Yes it does! Looking at my ML+ paperwork, I found the following:
"ML+ cardmember will be eligible for +2 or +3 benefits beginning the month following achievement of +2 or +3 status, for the remainder of that calendar year plus the entire following calendar year." If you read the section under the benefits page titled "Eligibility for Benefits and Benefit Levels" you will find this clearly stated.
If you log into your ML account, you will also see that it lists the level you achieved last year.

As far as I know the level 3 would not mean they would issue the aa members club in 2006 until we hit 50K in charges. I will call tomm and try and find out about that. I have been level 3 since 2004 when I got the card.

They made it very clear to me that I will not see the 06 new benefits until I reach 50k in 06.

That is what I thought the original policy was. The conceirge benfit carries over (if you see value in that) I dont.

Website has been updated to clarify that the airline club membership must be earned in 2006. "Cardholders must reach the MERRILL+3 level by spending $50,000 in 2006 to be eligible for the Admiral’s Club/Crown Room Club benefit. One membership per account. Cardholder must choose between an Admirals Club or Crown Room Club annual membership."
