Question
I used to have a Air Miles (www.airmiles.ca) credit card a while back where I collected a small number of points (1300) that I never redeemed. It seems like program is one of the most useless programs and I am not sure what I was thinking when I joined the program. Anyways, that aside, I would like to spend the 1300 miles, but am having a tough time finding anything worthwhile. Transfers of points are apparently not allowed and if I want anything above 1300 points, its 30 cents CDN a mile + tax which seems pretty insane.
I could use a night at Crowne Plaza for my upcoming trip, but they redeem that for 2075 points which after you calculate the additional charge does not look like a good deal.
Any suggestions...?

I used to earn air miles at the grocery store. Never a large amount because I never focused on them.
I redeemed them all for movie tickets. 25 miles gives you a two for one pass, 150 for two tickets plus popcorn and drinks. If you have kids (or go on dates) it's totally worth it.
