any cards offer airline status?

Question
Are there any credit cards out there which offer CO airline status for having the card? I am getting tired of having to fly so many miles to maintain my status, which I do enjoy!

Answer
There is American Express Centurion, a card with no published application criteria, but which reportedly requires $250,000 annual spend and charges a $2,500 annual fee.
A more realistic option might be the American Express Platinum Delta Skymiles card which offers 10,000 "Medallion® Qualification Miles at the end of every year in which you charge $25,000 in purchases to the Card." This means you would need to earn only 15,000 additional MQM to achieve Delta Silver status, and inasmuch as Delta and Continental are Skyteam partners there are reciprocal earning and recognition provisions. However, if you primarily fly Continental you should verify that the elite benefits which are important to you apply to Delta Silver Medallion members flying on Continental.

Answer
DL does not (at the moment) have reciprocal upgrades with CO/NW. So if that's important to you...

Answer
Chase now has a United card that offers EQM's without flying. I believe that it is the platinum class visa sig card.

It gives you 5,000 elite miles which will not even get you close to the first level at 25,000 elite miles.

Actually, one can get even closer to Premier or your next elite level than that.
With the Mileage Plus Platinum Class Visa from Chase Bank a cardholder can earn up to 15,000 Elite Qualifying Miles (EQM) in the first year plus other benefits and miles.
But carefully read and print out a copy of the offer from United's website because there are many other offers without this level of EQM benefits and Chase employees do not seem to be aware of this one, or in some cases what EQM miles are.
I had severe trouble in getting EQM fulfillment. It took a time consuming, four month effort while it seemed none of the Customer service people ever heard of this offer. They tried a number of ploys to deny it which were contrary to their published offer and card documentation.
Luckily, I had printed out the web page offer and retained the booklet that came with the card. Both of which clearly proved Chase wrong. Eventually, after faxing the supporting details six times and numerous phone calls, I got credited for 10,000 EQM miles based on purchases made with the card.
It was a very unpleasant ordeal involving many calls to Customer Serve, then dealing with a half dozen supervisors, many of whom proved insincere by breaking their firm promises to get it fixed and then call me back. Eventually, on December 29, 2005 (whew, I needed these EQM for a 2005 qualification) it was resolved but only after one exasperated confrontation demanding Chase fulfill its legal obligations and to do so in a timely manner (meaning a 2005 EQM credit, instead of the 2006 posting they were then offering).
Presumably, as Chase's staff is trained on the card and their computer reference system is updated to show this card's benefits this might not happen in the future.
But anyway here's the 15,000 mile EQM offer as shown on United's website at the path of Home > Mileage Plus > Mileage Plus partner guide > Credit Cards > Mileage Plus Visa
Elite Qualifying Miles
"You can earn up to 15,000 Elite Qualifying Miles in your first year (like the ones you earn by flying), plus up to 10,000 each year after that" (My note: Chase does not explain the details of the 10,000 EQM possible in future years anywhere that I can find) .
"Here's how:

* 5,000 Elite Qualifying miles when you spend $35,000 each year with your card

Answer
To answer the OP, there are no CC that offer status, only cards that can heLp you attain stATus by giving some extra elite miles...
There are cards that give you hotel status however, but nothing for airlines.
