Question
I've been trying to find out some details on the united platinum EQM bonuses.
1. Is there any way to get the 1EQM per $1 from united phone reservations instead of united.com? I recently made a $1,400 purchase on my card from united phone reservations, to later find out that it has to be made from united.com.
2. I had the gold visa before I upgraded it to the platinum and my anniversary date is October 1. I upgraded to the platinum back in August of this year and they prorated the additional annual fee for the remainder of the year. There is a 5,000 EQM bonus if you spend $35,000 on the card. In my case, when does that "tally" start? Do I accumulate my $35,000 spent, starting from August or has it restarted this past October (my anniversary date)?
3. When will I receive my anniversary companion ticket? Will it be in August 2006? or, will I be receiving it any day now?
I have called United visa and mileage plus several times, and they have not been able to give me any clear answers.
