cardoffers.com site. Any knowledge?

Question
I hope I chose the right post to post this question.
Did anyone heard about cardoffers.com site where if you apply through there site and approved for credit card, they will send a check for $40
Did anybody use that side and in fact received check from them?
Thanks

Answer
They don't give $40 for all applications. I know the Amex offers tend to be $30.

Answer
I applied for a Citi Premiere Pass and was approved by linking through this site. I had to send them proof as they did not automatically credit my account, but on supplying the required info to them, I did receive a check for $40. :)

Answer
websites such as these concern me. How do we know how valid they are? It sounds like phishing to me. I give a lot of very personal information out when signing up for a credit card, and I never know how much information these referral sites may be stealing from me in exchange for my $40.
Good luck, but I'd like to hear Consumer Reports or BBB give their approval before I use them.

Answer
The only information you give them is your mailing address so they know where to mail the check. Otherwise it's a standard affiliate setup where you click on a link, you go through some affiliate processor (e.g., Linksynergy, Bfast) who sticks a cookie on your computer, hands you off to Amex or Citi or who then look at the cookie to see who referred you. The CC company then pays Cardoffers.com $X and they pass on your cut. Cardoffers never sees your SSN, birthdate, or any info like that. If you click on one of the banners here at FT for a credit card, that's going through an affiliate program.
For me, I've had 2 out of 3 times where the bonus has posted automatically. One time I had to fax in my confirmation letter because it didn't get matched up automatically.

Answer
I've used them twice.
Both times I had to contact customer service to get the checks, but in both cases just a single e-mail message was enough - got responses within 24 hrs, and checks in the beginning of next month.

Answer
I also used them once before
