Question
Help me out here. I'm interested in getting this card, as they're offering 15K bonus miles, first year free, and a free companion certificate. In the fine print in regards to the companion certificate, it says "offer expires Dec. 31 2005." Does this mean the deadline to apply for the card and get the companion cert. expires Dec. 31, or the companion ticket itself expires Dec. 31, 2005 and therefore must be used before then? Here's the link to the card I'm interested in, and of course I see no number to which I can call and get an answer to this question...

the wording implies that the 15k bonus expired 12/31. can't say for sure about the companion ticket, but you could probably just call citi's aadvantage number at 1-888-766-2484 (from here (http://www.citibank.com/us/cards/chooser/contact/card_ph.htm) )

If you read the footnote #3 (http://citi.bridgetrack.com/usc/05/multi/aa/plat/termspopup/default.htm) it is clear that that the Companion Certificate offer also expires 12.31.2005, but it does not explain whether this means the card application must be submitted, or travel must be booked, or travel must be completed by that date.
