Question
I just saw in my sunday newspaper an advertisement for the Chase Cash Plus Rewards Visa card. It is basically the same card as Citibanks Dividend Platinum select with 5% cash back on qualified Grocery Stores, Gas Stations, and Drug Store purchases. It also gives you 1% back everywhere else. The cap is 30,000 points per year where 1 point is earned for each dollar spent or 5 points for the special categories mentioned above. It lists a phone number of 1-888-787-0329 to contact and an rsvp code of J9C. I also found a link to it through a google search which is http://www.firstusa.com/cgi-bin/webcgi/webserve.cgi?partner_dir_name=chase_cashplus_champ&page=cont&mkid=605V&msc=Z0003151&AFFID=M.yW6m1ynG4-tJ4xyMJfOTuYHnH5mSEWaA
Chase's main website does not have the card listed yet. Another nice feature is a 0.00% APR for 12 months and the interest rates are okay at 11.99% unless you don't qualify for it in which case you will receive 15.99%.
Sincerely,
JC
Answer
Transaction fee for balance transfers
3% of the amount of each transaction, but not less than $5.00 nor more than $75.00.
Answer
I got mine as a 1st USA holder when they bought them. I've had no problems except I reached the $300 max rebate back in May. (when I ask for my first rebate check, they gave me an extra 1% on all purchases. 2% and 6%) I called them and ask what to do now, and they just divided my credit limit in half (or however you wanted them to do it), and sent me a 2nd card with a 2nd account # on it. Now I'm good for another $300. They said 2 was the max though.

Can anyone verify that this card is NOT tiered?
The online terms and conditions don't indicate this either way, but most Chase cards are tiered.
Answer
It has been confirmed with several CSR's and people who have applied and received the T&C's that this card is NOT tiered. Look through your Sunday paper ads, and there was an ad in there offering a $50 signup bonus.

Davesdog,
I just had my chase platinum with travel plus changed to the CashPlus program. My question for you is when they divided the credit limit did they pull your credit report to give you the second card and also does the new card show on your credit report with an open since date of the date they divided the credit limit or when you opened your initial account several years back.

Both Chase and Citi do not pull your credit report for the converting one type of card to another.
Answer
