Citibank Credit Card Line of Credit Increase

Question
Does Citibank offer pre-approved line of credit increases? I know American Express and other card companies do everything 6-9 months. American Express offers the pre-approved line of credit increase on their website under account services. Does Citibank offers pre-approved and would it show up on their internet account services site when i request a credit limit increase?
Thanks in advance!

Answer
I'm not sure what you mean by 'pre-approved', but citi does offer instant CL increase online. You can use that feature every 6 months (some people report they can request instant increase every 3 months, not for me though). You will get an instant offer, which you can either accept or decline. No credit inquiry.

Yes, that was what I was referring to. So I can do this on the Account Summary page and click on Credit Limit Increase Request or something. Nice! So far mine asks for banking information and such. It is not that I mind providing such information, I just don't want to get another inquiry on my credit report for something I do not need in the near future.
Thanks!

If you are asked for banking or whatever information, I suspect that it means you are not qualified for an instant increase NOW. I hope you've not submitted a request, coz I don't know if they will pull the credit report in that case.

I haven't and will wait until I see an instant increase offer. Thanks!

It used to be if you even clicked on the "request credit increase" option on the Web site it immediately pulled a copy of your credit report, even before asking for your banking information and notifying that a copy of your report would be pulled.
I did this once and was very upset when a copy was pulled because I didn't really want a credit increase, I was just exploring the Web site. I complained and told them they should rectify the situation on my credit report and fix the Web site and the response was basically "too bad" and "don't click that link if you don't want an inquiry."
Another option is to call Citibank and ask them if you qualify for a credit increase w/o a copy of your report being pulled. Sometimes they can do it instantly depending on your credit score, length of time with them, balance, balance-to-pay ratio, etc.

Has this problem been rectified? I have been clicking on it once a week to see if I have an instant credit limit increase.

Yeah, as far as I can tell.
If you've been clicking on it all this time I think you'd know if they hadn't fixed it.
