Today I received an invitation for "Chase Business Rebate Card" which offers 3% at "gas stations, restaurants and taverns, fast food eateries and office supply stores." 1% elsewhere. It is interesting that "fast food eateries" are mentioned separately from "restaurants". "You can earn the 3% rebate on a maximum of $20,000 of qualifying purchases at retail establishments that classify their merchant locations as gas stations; restaurants; office supply stationery and school supply stores."

It ain't ca$h, but Amex Hilton Hhonors recently bumped restaurants (and a couple other categories) up to 5 points/$ spent.

There is a Chase card with permanent 3% cash back for restaurants, but I can't remember which one. Profit, Perfect, Ultimate?..
