Im considering switching my amtrak card for an mbna amex card since I cant seem to get approved for a reg amex card and there are so many travel deals using amex card. Does anyone think theres a big value in amtrack pts to overcome this as the options seem less and less and amtrak doesnt seems secure itself

Good point. I also have amtrak card and dont know what to do with it. Instead of going for Amex, why dont you look for other MBNA cards which do not charge any foreign currency fee!
