Question
Checked the balance of my card over last week. The rebate % shown on unbilled activity only reflects 1% in base and total dividend dollars. Emails to Citibank resulted in a standard response of 'We will check into it and get back to you in 7-14 days.'
Anyone else have this issue?

Yes, I saw the same thing happened. It was all correct last week and then when I checked it this past weekend, it changed to only 1%.
I called yesterday evening, the CS saw the error but he said to wait till statement close and if the correct rebates not showing up, then call Citi. He admitted that with all sorts of promo, new cards going on, sometimes their computer system went nuts. He realized the additional 4% of groceries, drug stores and gasoline stations purchases not showing up, as well as the additional 1% 90-day bonus not showing up also.
I would call them tomorrow to ask them again.
Edit to update : it is still wrong as of 04/06. Called Citi. Talked to some CS at a Texas location (I dont know Citi has TX location, in the past I dealt with the most South Dakata location and another East Coast location). He suggested to put in a dividend dispute so the appropriate dept will look at it.
FWIW, last time when I had such problem when they failed to honor a promo at the beginning of the program, it also was resolved by going thru the channel of dispute. The ridiculous thing is, the CS asked me how much dividend I should have - I said customers should not have to monitor the correction credit of dividend, but I do have a spreadsheet to monitor it ...
At the end after we finished this subj, the CS then tried to sell me roadside services. I think Citi is getting ridiculous to press their CS to try more to sell products instead of helping customers.
Answer
Computer going nuts???? LOL! Poor thing, getting the blame for everything :D
By the way...it's the same here. I think their dispute dept. is about to get swamped.
Answer
I got my recent statement and the statement showed 5% versus 1% on line. The dispute department sent a form letter stating the card is enrolled in the 5% rebate program. Looks like folks (like me) were ordering $50 checks before billing statement closed when the 5% was reflected on line. I have another $50 available (if the online rebate was 5%) but will have to wait to order until the next billing statement.
Answer
I got same issue, called them and being told that I am getting 5%, and reward balance the CSR give me doesn't match what show up on their website.

Wow I guess many people have the same issue.
I just called and cancelled my card 10 minutes ago. I was switched to the citibank ATT cash rewards card when I called to cancel my AA card.
The retentions specialist told me: I'd get 5% on _everything_ for 3 months, and thereafter the usual 5% on gasoline, grocery, drugstore, att services etc.
After two months straight of 1%--including on gas, groceries, etc, I called to complain. The specialist told me she'll put through a request to look into what happened and why I didn't get what I was promised, and I'll be sent the results of the inquiry in ~2 weeks.
Two weeks and nothing alter, I called again this wednesday, a different specialist told me they don't want to lose my business, don't know what happened and please wait until at least saturday and let them see what's going on.
Well it's sunday, I just called to see what's going on, and still they're clueless..."well I don't know why but it's showing 1% for everything".
No more of this inquiry run-around, I just closed my account and forego the accumulated 1% rebate I had on the cards. It wasn't enough to reach $50 to cash out and I sure as hell aren't to use this untrustworthy card anymore when I can get 5% easily with the Chase Mastercard.
Highest recommendation to avoid :td: :td: :td:
Answer
The issue is Chase is even worth to me. I paid my credit cards late twice during last 2 years, and all of them was Chase credit card payment. I finally decide to close my chase account. I know paying bill late is my own fault. But I think most people like me just pay bills twice a month. Unlike all other credit card companies, Chase would not let you view your bill on their web site unless you choice stop to receiving paper bill. My account closing date is 25th; the paper bill usually comes after I made payments at the beginning of the month. If I forget to site down to just pay this one bill. It will be late.

Answer
Computer still not fixed. However, the point totals on my paper statements correctly show the 5% for grocery, gas, drugstore.
I called the "Thank You" customer service number; spoke with someone who seemed spaced out; got nowhere.
Wonder if it should just be taken on faith that they will fix their records eventually? This is kind of a long time for a computer problem to be persisting. Normally I would expect a bank to fix a computer problem in a matter of hours, not months!
Answer
When I require a check from citi. the amount on the check doesn't match the available amount showed on their web site. Haven't get chance to do any calculation yet. But there is a possiblity that we are getting 5% even it doesn't show up on oue account online correctly.

Answer
since i only use my citi card for transactions that earn 5%, it has been easy for me to track. even though the base dividend earned only shows 1% online, when the cycle closes it posts as 5% for the available dividend. so, it is working correctly, just not displaying correctly.

Answer
so before your statement close date, all you see is 1% base dividend, but when the statement closed, the 4% additional would be added and you would see it correctly both online and on your paper statement.
I guess they are doing this to force people to request dividend checks by the statement cycle - so it is easier for them to do their programming and tracking.
Answer
I started using my divident card this month only for groceries, gas, drugstores purchases....looked online at my reward activity...only at 1%...called Citibank, told me to wait for the statement.
Let's see what happens.
