$15 "Annual account summarry fee" on AAdvantage citicard!

Question
Just looked at the latest statement for my AAdvantage Citicard.
It has a $15 charge for an "annual account summary"!
I never saw such a charge before, never asked for an account summary (though I did get one), so where is this fee coming from? I have a "fee-free bronze" card.

Answer
Sounds like Citi nickel & diming to me.
I have the $85 Citi Plat AAdvantage World MC. The annual report summary is included with the fee. Fifteen dollars sounds a lot better for a fee-free card than $85/year.

Answer
I have never heard of any other card charging this kind of fee. Certainly this is a new trend. I hope others do not follow this trend.

Answer
Anyone know when they charge the annual fee? I'm going to cancel before that (don't fly AA anymore.)

ME TOO! And I have not used the account in ages- also is Bronze and also was told that there were no fees with that account. I called a couple of hours ago and complained and the rep I spoke with said that first she would "remove the automatic account summary" from the account and second she put in a request for a refund of the charge. It should appear as a credit on my account in 2 business days.
Other half who also has the Bronze and also has not used it in ages was also charged so he called. The rep this time says that all he can do is "request" a credit but has no idea what will happen. Rep said "if they will credit it back it should be within the next 10 business days so watch your account and call back if it does not credit and we will see what we can do".
The fee was charged on March 1 2005.
Everyone who gets such a charge should call and complain!
I don't know about anyone else, but lately I am being bombarded with "changes to agreements" from credit cards "enchancements" from bank "mergers" and "new features" and other changes from the various FF and FG programs to which I belong. But this takes the cake as a sneaky attempted to take money from me.

I guess it is time to start reevaluating which credit cards to carry. I am getting really tired of always having to "be on my toes" and "watch my back" with the various companies I do business with.
Anyone else feeling the same?

Answer
When I saw it on my account details online, I immediately called.
The CS rep took a while to research it and came back told me the charge will be reversed, said that it was an error.
It seems to me if you converted a fee cased card, like the AAdvantage gold or platinum, to any other card that does not carry fee, the "free" annual account summary feature got carried over, but then no longer free - hence the charge. I did receive a summary report though I never ordered one. The report(s) came in 2 forms, one for the cancelled platinum AAdvantage card, the other for the subsequent dividend card.
It is an error by the system I believe, though the other half thinks Citi deliberately made such error and hoped cardholders did not catch it !
