Credit cards are to be used as a revolving credit line, the better ones credit, the better a credit card you get, gold vs. plat. etc. A prepaid is to be used by starters.
A prepaid card is good for starters or kids etc.
A prepaid plat. card would be just for show.
This is my opinion.

Well there are prepaid Platinium cards out there:
Platinium Prepaid Card (http://www.accessmycard.com)
Cards like these are simply Debit Cards and Debit cards come in different levels just like Credit Cards for example here:
Mastercard Platinium Benefits (http://www.mastercard.com/aboutourcards/debit_card_platinum.html)
Overview of Mastercard Levels and Benefits (http://www.mastercard.com/aboutourcards/benefits_chart.html)
Not to mention that there are platinium credit cards (Visa/Mastercard) out there with a limit of 200 $ or so (Capital One/First National Bank of Marin) so that is not naturaly a sign of good credit.
Answer
Your "platinum card" gives special features of charging purchase and deposit paycheque.
Would you want your creditor to seize your earning directly? That's what that direct deposit sounds like.
Then about the regular purchse... $1 fee per transaction? Then, I can easily spend $100 in this fee every month since I charge whenever I can... That is $1200 in annual fee.... for a platinum card without any benefit.
Answer
I am not saying that this card is the answer, I'm just pointing out that there are prepaid platinium cards out there.
The reason I use and know this card is because that way I get 1000 airlines miles for 0.75$ as long discussed in this thread (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=267256) .
As "WORLDWIDE TRAVELER" is not specifying what he really needs it's all a guessing game anyhow.
Answer
