Just got one of those United MileagePlus visa card pre-approved offers in the mail and noticed something that I don't recall seeing before.
In addition to the 15K bonus miles, it says "Simply spend $10K on the card during the first six months and those 10K miles will cont as Elite Qualifying Miles (just as if you earned them by flying)".
Is this new? Anyone know if this is a general new benefit to all new card members or only available if you respond to the targeted promotion? I'm asking because I applied online a couple of days ago before I got this offer, and want to make sure I get the 10K EQMs in six months.

I remember having read that there was an offer for an american airlines credit card for 15000 for business card or 12500 miles for a lpersonal card, and fee free for the first 6 months. Any idea if that offer is still available and the link to it. Thanks much.
