Question
Anyone know how many additional cards (under other people's names) you can have with UA mileage plus Visa card? In addition, do all of the miles accrued hit the primary cardholder's Mileage plus account?
Answer
I know at least one extra, as my g/f and myself have always gotten additional cards for each other.
The miles are only credited to the Mileage Plus account for the main cardholder, there's no option to have them go to another account (other than that person becoming primary on their own account).

I have four additional cardholders on my account (for a total of 5 cards), and they've still asked me whether I'd like to add anyone else! :)
(Some time ago, they were offering 2,500 bonus miles per additional cardmember, but I'm not sure when/if we'll see that again.)
As jwhite4 noted, the additional cards all post to the primary user's MP account (although the additional cards don't have the MP number embossed on them).

Does any one know recent promotions on getting additional UAL cards. Last week I called them and the CSR had no clue. Has any one got miles for additional cards recently? Maybe first you convert to Gold card and then get the extra miles for additing other cards?
Answer
I currently have a regular card for which the fee was waived last April (15000 miles). Today I received an offer for a "business" VISA card, $60/year and 15000 miles for getting it.
I likely will nonrenew the other one when it charges the annual fee, and instead get this one.
Interestingly, I have no business and the short form doesn't ask about that at all; instead it is interested in my employment!

You can apply for a second card and get 20K points for $60 or 15K for free. This would be a new application for a new card with a different Visa number.
