Question
I currently use my SPG Amex for personal use. I need a visa/mc for my small business. I was thinking about converting my Citi AAdvantage Gold World MC to the Citi Platinum Select AAdvantage Business Card. I would receive 15,000 bonus miles for signup as per the mailing I received. Is there a better business card that I should be considering? Thanks!

The New Merril Lynch card is very good. Not called a business card but the perks are very good. You can use your SPG card for biz expenses as well. Unless you want all charges to post only on bus cards. Perks wise the biz cards are usually not as good although AMEX is the same Membership Rewards program....rob

Blue,
If you like the SPG amex for personal use, would it be possible for Amex to issue you a second card with the same name (or instead of John D Smith .. JD SMith)?
The reason I suggest this is because your statement for additional users is separated from the principal user.
I am fairly certain there is a thread somewhere if you are interested in the second amex idea .. :)

Answer
I have two SPG amex cards. One for business and one for personal use. Works great. Had no problem getting them.

Before you make a decision, take a look at the Capitol One Go Ultra card, with no annual fee. It's one of those accumulation programs that then buys tix for any flight, plus, with the Biz version, you can generate "miles" at differing rates per $, depending on your spend-rate.....up to $20K/yr=1:1,
$20-40K/yr=1.25:1, and $40-50K/yr=3:1. Check their site for redemption details, as it doesn't equate with anyone's program...it's proprietary to CapOne. But, if you're a significant spender and can turn 3 miles per dollar spent...and with the option to buy any ticket, without blackout dates, on any airline....you can, for instance, get a $300 ticket for spending only $10K.
Answer
For me it is the Citi Business AAdvantage Card. I also have the personal one so both sets of miles go to American - it really helps rack up awards faster!
Peace!

Do you have a breakdown on how many miles it would take to get to Hawaii? Looks like they may do it based on cost of ticket, so figure an $800 ticket.
