Question
Hi Everyone,
Is Citibank still offering the no-annual-fee Hilton HHonors Visa Signature Card? I heard that Citibank converted most of their Visa cards into Master Card last year. I can see the application form in HHonors web page, but not sure if their information is up-to-date. Anyone got the card lately?
Also, is there any other no-annual-fee Visa Signature Visa or World Master Card?
Thanks,
Tintin
Answer
That information is still correct. I got the card earlier this year.
Answer
The Citi Hilton Honors Card is exclusively VISA
Answer
Thanks for the information. I applied for the HHonors Visa Signature Card online and got approved. It gave me a credit line. I thought Visa Signature Card doesn't have a fixed credit limit.
Thanks,
Tintin
Answer
It does have a credit limit, which is the maximum balance that you can revolve (i.e. carry as a balance).
The "no preset spending limit" just means that you can exceed your credit limit, but you'll be required to pay off the amount above your credit limit by the due date after receiving your statement. It's a hybrid of a normal Visa and an Amex-type "charge" card.
Answer
Thanks, now I understand it!
Is there any other free signature Visa or world MC? If not, then why Hilton is giving their card for free? Also, more interestingly, why Citibank is branding this Visa card? Citibank is not a friend of Visa anymore!
Just curious!

Answer
I have the World AAdvantage MC from Citibank and have thought about getting the Signature VISA with Hilton but decided against it when I saw how Citibank reports the MC to the credit report. It shows the credit limit as zero, then the balance so I loose points since there is no credit used to available ratio; At least that is how it was explained to me when I refinanced my house.
PEACE!
